Rooted in family systems

Our providers are Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists. That means we pay attention to the relationships around you, not only the symptoms, because healing rarely happens alone.

When you ask, we're glad to welcome faith and spirituality into the conversation. It's always your choice.

In our office or by secure video

Our board-certified telemental health providers see clients by secure video anywhere in Texas. It's a good fit for busy families, people with disabilities, and anyone who feels safer at home.

We accept most major insurance plans for counseling. See insurance and fees.

Common questions about counseling

Do I need a diagnosis to start counseling?

No. You can start with a concern, a transition, a relationship issue or simply the feeling that something is off. Some insurance plans require a diagnosis for reimbursement; we will discuss that with you before we begin.

What happens in the first session?

We complete the necessary paperwork, talk about what brings you in, gather relevant history and set some initial goals. You do not have to tell your whole story at once. The first session is also a chance to ask questions and see whether the fit feels right.

How long does counseling take?

It varies. Some people feel helped in 8 to 12 sessions; others need longer-term work. We review goals and progress together, and you can stop or adjust at any time.

Do you offer telehealth?

Yes. Our board-certified telemental health providers offer secure video counseling anywhere in Texas. You must be physically in Texas at the time of the session.

Do you take insurance?

We accept most major insurance plans for counseling. Coverage and copays vary by plan, so please call us to confirm your benefits. We can also discuss self-pay and our cancellation policy.

What is an LMFT?

An LMFT is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. LMFTs have graduate training in marriage and family therapy and supervised clinical experience, with a focus on relationships, family systems and the context around a person, not only individual symptoms.
